lanterns on the lagoon & Sculptures in the Park

As a visitor to the area I was lucky to have timed my visit to the region when this annual event was taking place. If you are travelling though this stunning region during September be sure to mark it on your calendar. It is has something for everyone & it is very family friendly. 

If you enjoy the arts you will not be disappointed by the varied & wonderful talented work of local artists on display. If you have children they will have a wonderful time & be delighted as they watch their own candlelit works of art cast a beautiful glow as they glide across the lagoon at dusk.

As well as encouraging children to create their own lanterns you are treated to the gifted locals, spectacular lanterns, adorning trees as well as the lagoon, creating a magical atmosphere at Pioneer Park Tumut.

As the night falls these lanterns light up along with the faces of the children who created them.

There are quality food stalls on offer with a varied & wide variety of food to satisfy all tastes & budgets. As you wander around all senses are catered for with wonderful live music being performed throughout the afternoon.
